Your progress and data
FinMaxxing has no accounts and no server. Your progress is saved only on your phone, and we can't see it. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I move my progress to a new phone?
You can't, sorry. Your progress isn't backed up by us, so it can't be moved or restored. It stays on your old phone until you erase it or delete the app there. On a new phone, FinMaxxing starts fresh. You can use the placement test to skip what you already know.
How do I erase my data?
- Open FinMaxxing and go to Settings.
- Tap Erase my progress, then Erase my progress again to confirm.
This clears everything FinMaxxing stored on your phone and turns off the reminder. It can't be undone. Deleting the app from your phone also removes it.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Export my progress. You'll get everything the app keeps on your phone as text, which you can save or send to yourself. It can't be loaded back into the app.
What about emails I've sent you?
Apart from basic logs kept by the host of this website, emails you send us are the only personal data we handle. To get a copy, or to have them deleted, email us.

Is FinMaxxing free?
Yes. Every lesson is free for everyone. There are no ads and no in-app purchases.
Why do you need my year of birth?
FinMaxxing is for people aged 16 and over. The app only keeps the year, on your phone. It's never sent to us.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
Settings → Reminder. They're off until you switch them on, and you'll get one quiet reminder a day at most.
How do I turn sounds or vibration off?
Settings → Sound and feel. Sound effects also follow your phone's silent switch.
Does FinMaxxing work offline?
Yes. Lessons are built into the app, so you don't need a connection. Links to websites open in your browser and need one.
How do I get new lessons?
New and updated lessons come with app updates from the App Store.
